Data Protection in Digital School Services
The Technical University of Munich takes the protection of personal data very seriously.
As part of the Digital School Services, we process personal data in the course of the processing activities listed below in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG), and the Digital Services Act (DDG). Specific legal bases for the individual processing activities are set out below.

Your Rights
If we process your personal data, you, as the data subject, are entitled to the following rights:
- You have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR).
With an active TUM account you may use our self service portal for this. - If the legal requirements are met, you may request the erasure or restriction of processing (Art. 17 and 18 GDPR).
- If you have given consent to the processing or if a contract for data processing exists and the data processing is carried out using automated procedures, you may have the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
- If you have given your consent and the processing is based on this consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent up to the time of withdrawal remains unaffected. You also have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of your data if the processing is carried out solely on the basis of Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR (Art. 21(1), sentence 1 GDPR).
